Love Poetry

I have a book of love poetry. It is a fat collection of love poems across the centuries. And a lot of it, really, if it were in modern language, many would seem cliched! But why is it not, then? When these writers weren't all original, were they? They copied off Shakespeare and others. Is it because some are Kings or Queens or from faraway lands of royal different languages and so everyone feared to critique? 

                                                                                                           

And I see my own writing, and fear to write about love.
